The Oxygen Index (OI) gives us an accurate way of measuring the minimum concentration of oxygen percentage, that will just support the material flaming under a constant airflow and ambient temperature.

The Auto Oxygen Index consists of:

  • A heat-resistant glass tube, dimension of φ 75 by 500mm in height.

  • The glass tube is clamped by mechanical arm for motorized lifting.

  • Oxygen concentration transducer, with the following characteristics:

    a) Measurement range of 0 to 100%

    b) Linearity less than 0.1%

    c) Repeatability less than 0.1%

    d) Intrinsic error less than 0.1%

    e) Zero stability less than 0.1% O2 per week

    f) Response time T90 less than 3 secs at the flow of 80ml/min.
