Contact Heat Transmission Tester | EN 702 Test

Contact Heat Transmission Test

Compliance

ISO 12127-1, EN 702

The Contact Heat Transmission Tester, in accordance with ISO 12172-1, is designed to measure the contact heat transmission between the high temperature cylinder and the calorimeter with protective clothing in between.

It is used to evaluate the performance of protective clothing, hand protectors, or its constituent materials against high contact temperatures (500 degrees).

Contact Heat Transmission Tester | EN 702

During the contact heat transmission test, the heating cylinder is heated up to 500 degrees, and the specimen is placed on the calorimeter. The specimen is lifted up at a constant speed and contacts the heating cylinder with a constant force of 49N. The temperature and time are measured, and the specimen will be auto low down after the temperature of the calorimeter rises 10 degrees. The threshold time is defined as the time spent when the temperature of the calorimeter is 10 degrees above its starting time.

Features

  • The Contact Heat Transmission Tester consists of test bench, heating cylinder, calorimeter, control system, temperature measurement system.

  • The heating cylinder is made from heat resist metal, can be heated up to 500 degrees, and is with a contact surface of φ 25.2mm.
